GSXR Fiat 500 motorcycle engine motor
The Fiat Fiat should have built!!! Installing a GSXR Suzuki Motorcycle engine in the smallest Fiat Automobile proved to be more of a challenge than expected. It is now running with 104 horsepower 6 speeds and uses all origional fiat controls. The interior remained stock except for the instrument cluster. I couldn't resist. A jig built to square the wheels up
A jig built to square the wheels up

I needed to increase back spacing. Rather than cut on the suspension I decided to cut the wheels. Fiat 600 wheels are easy to work with because they are not spot welded and only beaded in four spots from the factory. I tried modifying some escort wheels that proved nearly impossible with the 16 or so spot welds. The jig is so I could rotate the wheel as I welded and also proved useful determining how much clearance was available withthe tire mounted.
